Fall’s Biggest Video Game Releases

2Video games and the Holiday season go together hand in hand. As the weather gets colder, video game companies begin to heat up with some of their biggest releases. Fall of 2017 is no different and fans are more than ready to start snapping up the latest big title releases on all of the major consoles. Let’s take a moment to look at a few of the biggest releases for Fall of 2017 in order to find out when and where they can be found.

Every year gamers get ready to dive back into the world of first person action with the ‘Call of Duty’ franchise. This year they will be going back in time in order to play ‘Call of Duty: WWII’. World War 2 is one of the most intensely covered events in the world of ‘Call of Duty’ but this newest release is seeking to give gamers an entirely new experience. Developed by Activision and due for release on November 3rd, ‘Call of Duty: WWII’ will be available on the XB1, PS4, and PC. The title has been lauded for its attempts to put players into the realistic shoes of a soldier in one of the world’s most horrific wars.

On the front of open world roleplaying there is little to excite fans more than ‘Destiny 2’. The original ‘Destiny’ was one of the most hyped up releases in recent years and despite it’s strong showing, fans were left wishing they had gotten more. “Destiny’ will be released in late October for the PS4, XB1, and PC. The game follows the events of the initial ‘Destiny’ which has players trying to reclaim their role and title as a Guardian. Along those same lines we will also see Warner Bros release ‘Middle Earth: Shadow of War’ which is a big budget follow up to the surprisingly excellent ‘Shadow of Mordor’. In “Shadow of War’ players will once again head to Middle Earth in order to take on Dragons, Orcs, and gigantic enemy strongholds. The newest pivot to the franchise has players capable of leading entire armies in battle.

What would the Holiday season be without another big Nintendo title? The Nintendo Switch is getting ‘Super Mario Odyssey’ on October 27th. This is the first big budget Mario title for the Nintendo Switch and it’ll serve as a great welcome to the console for new gamers as they try out the new system.
